Banj is a locality of the Center Dalmatia, dipped in the green of the olive groves and vineyards, famous city of fishermen and in order is been born around the church of Saint Cosimo in year 1356 and therefore for being one locality much ancient.

The Banj name in fact derives from "the balnea" word that laughed them to the roman age, and means "baths" or also "terme". In the past they have been finds historical from the roman age, like some coins, that they testify that here the Roman made their baths and the cures in mud.
